Almost every occurrence and thing has its own day – water, food, freedom of speech – all we need to choose is what and when to celebrate. Perhaps we shouldn’t try too hard and go watch a play on World Theatre Day. Instead we could expand our vocabularies with a theatrical expression “break a leg”. 24

The last pagans in Europe – Lithuanian people were Christianized in 1387. 620 years passed by and now 79% of Lithuanians say they are members of the Roman Catholic community. They prepare for Christmas, but more than this religious holiday Christmas Eve is welcome. 10

With the list of recommendations for the rest of 2007 we are starting another new section, where we will introduce multicultural events held in Vilnius. The briefs on various entertainment and art projects from all over the world, as well as transnational conferences will be posted on the first day of each month and weekly (updated).15
